April 2015 - The revised look club web site launches.

More a starting point than the finished article. So far I think I spent cira 50 to 60 hours on it. Compared to what I wanted to make the site into I could spend another six months on it. However with the Spring Regatta rapidly approaching I had to get at least something online and here it is. Much work will continue to go into it to develop it.

April 2015 - Abingdon Head

The club went to Abingdon Head. Some good performances all round really but just the one win at the event which was the Womens Masters Eight. Well done to that crew.

April 2015 Bank Holiday Weekend

Curlew Rowing Club Training Camp

Our good friends from Curlew Rowing club in London will be onsite from Thursday April 30th to May the 4th.

MAY 2015 - The Evesham & Wallingford Regattas Weekend .

The Senior Men and Novice 8 went off to Dorney for Wallingford Regatta. No Winners alas though the Senior coxless pair just missed out on a final by 1 Second but for some odd reason stopped just short of the line.

The novice eight clocked up a really good time though.

The Juniors plus the clubs para rower went to Evesham regatta.

This yielded 3 Wins. On Saturday the Womens Novice double won. Also the Womens J14 Quad. Then on Sunday Luca Santese won in the single scull.

MAY 2015 - The BAND Night Extravaganza.

Club Members Ben Murcott & Matt Ballone put together this great 4 band show of hot local talent. Filling the club with supporters.

Not only a great night for the club but a truly fantastic night for music lovers. A really great atmosphere. Well Done.

16/5/15  saw Worcester play host

to its own spring Regatta.

Running an 850 metre downstream course some 230 entries filled a day of action packed racing. Returning again was Tim Foster and Keble College. Joining them was a fellow oxford university which was Oxford Academicals. This time round Tim wasn’t in a boat himself though. Then day went very well, aided by the good weather. The food sold out as did the Pig roast. This was followed by a fun evening of playful fun. Yet again Worcester’s Juniors stole the honours winning 9 out of 10 of the clubs wins. A great day. Thanks to all that helped out.

21/5/15  - The New Wintech Low Wash Catamaran Safety Launch Arrives

Thanks entirely to Peter Powell who put in a grant application to buy a Launch for the juniors and Safety reasons. With the grant awarded in April, the new launch has arrived. Its Right posh, one has to say and will need careful looking after.

We have made a special tether point on the landing stage which has padded fending off bars sp as the launch doesn’t rub against the side of the concrete stage. Its important to note this is its storage place and home when on the water. Well Done Peter - Great Job !!!!
